I have made some great friends in my small town and keep myself very busy during the weeks traveling to three different schools. The kids are amazing, very different from teaching in the Bronx or Philly. They are incredibly respectful and excited about English. All the students stare at me and point when I enter the lunch room. Its strange but I understand. I am kind of odd looking to them; the shocking gazes from the Kindergarteners is hilarious. Many of the teachers I work with speak zero English; therefore, I am forced to learn the language quickly. I like that I am having an authentic experience, but it gets frustrating at times. On the weekends I hit the buses for exciting excursions in different cities! So far I have had amazing nights in Cheong-ju and Daegu! The cities look like video games at night.
